What causes Earlobe’s Injury?

Your ears are a necessary and important part of your body. Females, on the other hand, enjoy showing off their adornments by having them pierced. However, the pierced hole can become so large that it becomes unsightly and tears the earlobe apart. This can happen if your ear lobule is thin or lax, or if your earrings are heavy.

How is the Surgery done for earlobe repair?

The entire procedure can be completed in minutes rather than hours, and the stitches that hold the layer together will be removed within a week or two. What are the Risks and complications?

Every procedure entails some level of risk. Earlobe repair, on the other hand, is a very safe procedure. The most common challenges include issues with healing, such as poor scarring, the formation of a notch where the skin meets, and septicity. Revisions are always possible. It should be noted that smokers heal poorly, so abstaining from nicotine products for at least four weeks prior to the procedure will help to improve the scar.

What is the Post Procedure Care?

You can allow the skin to rest after the surgical procedure.

• Don’t touch the lobule, and don’t let it get wet for two days.
• After 2 days, you can remove the dressing at home, clean the area with regular soap, and apply an antibiotic.
• You can also leave it open or do a simple dressing.
• To avoid infection and discomfort, take the appropriate antibiotics and pain relievers.
• After 7 days, check to see if the suture needs to be removed.
• After the earlobe has healed for 6-8 weeks, we can re-pierce it.
